Executive Team
Sabrina Sanchez– CEO
Sabrina Sanchez has 25 years
of high technology and public relations experience
working with leading technology companies in the private
and public sectors. As founder and CEO of Ventana Public
Relations, she is responsible for the company's vision,
business development, and overall client satisfaction.
Before launching Ventana in 2005, Sabrina was vice
president of Trainer Communications and led that company's
storage practice.
Utilizing her expertise in technology,
marketing and communications, Sabrina has established
category leadership for more than 30 start-up companies
in the enterprise application, database, mobile technology,
semiconductor, supply chain, and storage market sectors.
She has a strong track record in delivering rapid,
high-caliber results for companies such as Versata
(one of the top IPOs of Q1 2000), Cloudscape (purchased
by Informix in June 1999), 3ware (purchased by AMCC
for $150 million in March 2004), Actona (purchased
by Cisco Systems for $82 million in June 2004), Rainfinity
(purchased by EMC in 2005), Securent (purchased by
Cisco in 2007) and WysDM (purchased by EMC in 2008).
Denise Nelson–
Vice President, Operations
Denise Nelson has worked in
public relations and marketing for more than 18 years,
and as Ventana’s vice president, is responsible
for client services, marketing and operations. Before
joining Ventana, Denise was a senior manager at Trainer
Communications, where she was responsible for strategic
planning and service for companies in storage, networking,
wireless, security, supply chain and application development
technology.
Denise is a results-driven professional
with experience managing media and analyst relations,
company and product launches, and customer and partner
programs; and driving visibility that establishes her
clients as leaders in their field. She has contributed
to the success of such companies as Aligo, DiCarta,
eBoodle (acquired by BizRate), GoDigital, IPWireless,
iSpheres, Itronix (acquired by General Dynamics), NightFire
(acquired by NeuStar), Sygate (acquired by Symantec),
Symphony Services, Tasman Networks (acquired by Nortel),
Trigo (acquired by IBM), uRoam (acquired by F5 Networks),
Visage Mobile, and Vivato.
Joe Austin–
Vice President, Client Relations
Joe Austin joined Ventana Public Relations in 2006
with more than 14 years experience in high-tech strategic
communications. His media relations experience spans
both broadcast and print, and he maintains longstanding
relationships with editors and reporters at business,
IT, channel, and vertical publications.
Austin's relationship with the media includes marquee
outlets including CNN, BusinessWeek, USA Today, Bloomberg,
and the Associated Press for clients ranging from startups
to billion-dollar enterprises. Experience includes
working with Maxell, McDATA (Acquired by Brocade),
Center for Internet Security, Securent (Acquired by
Cisco), Intrepidus Group/PhishMe, FireEye, Mimosa Systems,
Xiotech, MOLI.com, EMC/Rainfinity, Spinnaker Networks
(Acquired by NetApp), ONStor, Nexsan, Asigra, Avamar

With more than a decade of strategic planning, media
tours, press conferences, and media/analyst relations
for companies in the data storage, security, server

Austin's domain expertise assists in positioning clients
